Here's Latin America's answer to Hip Hop, Reggaeton. Has totally taken over the music scene here. Mostly comes out of the Dominican Republic. Some of it is brilliant, especially when sampled with other types of music. Most of it is crap, though.

The best thing is how the chicks dance to it. I swear to god they get possessed. The most puritan good girl is instantly transformed into a sensuous slut. Bwahahaha!

Daddy Yankee - Gasolina (gasolina also meaning sperm. "Dame mas gasolina - give me more gas)

Ok, you snivelling english peons. You can give some music in Spanish a try. Billions worldwide reap our unintelligable pap. Don't be such wussies.

IMO, the best alternative pop/rock south of yer nearest border. The Aterciopelados (the velveted ones) from Bogotá, Colombia. The chick has a die-for voice. I've met them and they're very nice people. My e-hippy darling supposedly had a thang moons ago with Hector, the lead geezer. He's the one strumming a white acoustic in the first vid, and makes dreaded appearences in the second.

Here's two we cover:

Sube el volumen.

By no means do I want to come off as a schtickler, but this is a Latin American music thread. Sittler posted a couple of Bebe tunes, and while they are brilliant, Bebe is from Spain, thus disqualifying her from LATIN AMERICAN music threads. Once again, a mod is asleep at the wheel.

GL!!!

Or was it because that Sittler posted it, he got a free pass?

Anyway, hereīs some Shakira showing why Arab-Colombians are such wank material. This sort of movement is by no means unusual in women from the Caribbean Colombian coast.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsJmLyvgTx8

Another when she was a sweet, innocent, giant voiced 18 year old semi hippy. Before the Miami Sound Machine of Gloria and Emilio Estefan began prostituting her to the horny bastard American Gringo public.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs (figure the name out on yer own): a brilliant Argentine Ska band. Once again, crank it up.

Mal Bicho: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xp956bmvVg

A little anti-Operacion Condor Kissinger schtick. Ten points to the hetro who can name the English rocker singing a bit of the chorus in espaņol

A Latin Ska cover of Stwawbewwy Fiewds Fowevew:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps3sgft5grQ

Absolute crap sound, but ya get a hint of what a great cover this is normal sounding. Another ten (10)poindexters to straighty who can tell us who is the American gal singing the chorus in english. Easy one.

Back by popular demand . . . more Latin American musica vids.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhtn3HROvgA

This is Joe Arroyo, el hijo mayor de Schlump City (Schlump Citehīs eldest son). Admittidely a sort of cheesy vid, but the salsa tune is pure class. In fact, an absolute classic of its genre. The vid is mostly shot on top of the old walls surrounding the center of Schlump City, and thereīs actually a moment there, where yee can catch a fleeting glimpse of an apartment I used to live in many a moon ago. Dancing to this shit with a caliente young Caribbean thang is by any measure . . . wood inducing. Turn it up!

From the vid you can get a pretty good idea how Walt Disneh fashioned the whole Disnehland theme park schtick ride, "Pirates of the Caribbean" on Schlump Citeh and its buccaneer past. The song is called "La Rebelion" and itīs about a Spanish colonial geezer mistreating his slaves. The refrain is, "no le pegues la negra" (donīt smack around the black chick).

*Warning. This video, by any measure, contains wank material. Please abuse yerself at yer own discretion. And fucking clean up after yerselves, you sticky fucking slobs.

Time to put on yer Spanish ears again, sports fans.

Orishas - El Kilo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQspTWQZEgM

Cuban hip hop. I really like this group. They mix Traditional Cuban rythms with hip hop. They also mix in Santería schtick. Fucking brilliant. Your wives and girlfriends might like that one black singer.

*The Orishas are like spirit geezers in Santería that originally come from West Africa.

Naty Botero - "Dinosaurio"

I buddy of mine, Jorge Navas, directed this video. The guyīs a shit hot talent whoīll be coming out with a movie soon. It should be brilliant from the shorts Iīve seen. This video isnīt all that impressive however, nor the song. A bit goopy poppy fur out taste, but it does go on about marijuana, at least.

Naty Botero is from Medellin and is a super talent of, singer, actress, model, and film and video director. My friend introduced me to her once, and I didnīt know fuck all about her or who she was, and wasnīt very impressed. Kind of a regular looking gal, hippyish, who wore ball caps around. Sheīs certainly caught me eye now, fur fuckīs sake.

Dinosaurio - http://youtube.com/watch?v=NBQZaq8nEDI

This next song though, I like a lot. A fucking brilliant pop tune. You may want to excuse yer dirty selves and embark upon a wankfest courtesy of Naty. Once again, clean up after yer fucking selves afterwards, you disgusting bastards.

Te Quiero Mucho - http://youtube.com/watch?v=fPRDodB8Ttk

Fucking good one, Boultsie. I love these Argentine ska-meisters. My band used to cover a couple of their tunes. By the way, Iīd posted a couple Fabulosos tunes a while back, along with a quiz, as to which well known English and American singers were adding back up fuel to those tunes. And we forgot to post the answers. Well, in the first tune, Mal Bicho, we got Mick Jones of the Clash, weighing in, and in the second tune, a Stwabewwy Fiewlds cover, the english parts of the song are sung by none other than Sittlerīs monkey slap fantasy, Debra Harry.

So now yīall know.

This is a promo of my best budīs salsa band, Yoruba. They just won first place in Bogotaīs "Salsa in the Park," which is actually a very prestigious schtick, and that won them a recording contract. Iīve seen them loads of times and partied with them and they are shit hot. My bud is Luis Guardela, the drummer and percussionist. Much to my chagrin, the squirrly geezer insists on wearing that ridiculous Slash top hat from the Buns and Hoses crap. Maybe thatīs why his girlfriend is ugleh. Not only that, sheīs an opera singer who fag hags about with male opera singers.

Anywho, Luis is a brilliant percussionist and drummer and handles any kind of rythym, from Afro Caribbean, Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop, African stuff . . . you name it. He drummed with me in rock groups here in Schlump Citeh, and the lad is a master. Too bad he looks like such a turkey.

*shut the fuck up Maloney

http://www.vimeo.com/2108958

** The groupīs leader and creative force is the geezer named, Wilder. Yep, his real given name, donīt know where he got it, and itīs on me list of of total crap first names.

This band is from Chocó, the dark nether nether region of Colombia on the pacific coast. A forgotten land of forbidden jungle and loads of rivers, some of the most beautiful coastline on earth, primative Indian populations, but mostly Afro Americans of a larger size and darker complexion than their Caribbean bros from the other side of the Panamanian Isthmus.

Vying with the Hawaiian Island of Oahu for the title of wettest spot on earth, itīs a land of the darkest of black magic and voodoo mixed with wierd Catholic vibe, an ultra violent guerrilla . . . and origin of Choquibtown, an absolutely brilliant hip hopish band who mix in native beats and rythyms and pop. Fantastic stuff. Iīve seen them live and the chick singer is one of the most beautiful performers this horny bastard has ever layed eyes upon. The name comes from a cross between Chocó, the region, and Quibdó, the jungle capital.

This is a Colombian band, Sidestepper, kind of run by this English geezer Dj, Richard Blair. I guess the guy landed in Bogotá a few years ago to Dj some show . . . and ended up staying. Easy enough to do in this whacky country. The music is a mix of typical rhythms and styles from Colombia and some Dj geezering around. Heīs also involved with the prior group I displayed, Choquibtown. Iīve heard from the sharp tongues that he was schlumping the singer chick, lucky fucking bastard. Heīs a pretty important influence in the hep Bogotá music circles.

The video is directed by a bud of mine, Jorge Navas, who did another vid I showed by Naty Botero. Richard Blair is the Dj at the begining of the vid. Great band.

Awright, sparts fans, itīs Sundy afternoon, Iīm giddy cause my sonīs coming back after being in the United States of Salt Lake City fur almost a year, coming to stay so I can make him be my best friend, my foil, my confident, my guilt tripee, my sorta slave, my rival, etc, so we guess itīz thyme to dust off this thread. Especially since he couldnīt join the Marines cause the reclutor deemed his Nordic lettered tattoo to be some Nazi Aryan White Supremist gang schtick. And heīs a fucking Latino. Both he and the reclutor are fucking dumbasses. Cheers!

Anywayz, this is Calle 13 (13th Street). A Reggaeton band from Puerto Rico. Reggaeton is Latin Americaīs answer to hip hop. The beatīs a bit dif, but itīs mostly sung from pre-ordained tracks. More singing than hip hop rapping. Itīs been a plague in Latin America. Like all popular music, the grand majority is superficial crap, but these guys, Calle 13, are the business.

They stick in loads of different instruments and the singer geezer is pretty much a genius.

This was a massive hit. Prolly with the Latin community in the US as well. Nice use of the Caribbean style clarinet in the tune. Dancing to this stuff can be wank material. It turns nice girls into as big as slutz as men are. Brilliant.

Atrevete (meaning, like, be daring) Song aboot the guy telling some Latina rocker chick to dig this latin beat, donīt be so only rocker.
