Rough House Hockey

I had a weird one last night. I was in a hotel room in a strange city. It was dusk, and I was looking out my window, which must have been ten stories up. The city below seemed quiet and mournful. I had no idea what I was doing in that particular hotel, in that particular city.

It was one of those dreams where you have no personal history. I tried to remember something about who I was, but couldn't remember a thing -- not my name, not the fact that I'm married and have children, not even the fact that I'm the co-admin of this wonderful hockey fight site which we all enjoy so much.

Then the phone in my hotel room rang. It was someone telling me in a flat voice that I had to go to a certain address for a charity function. I didn't know what the person was talking about, but I didn't want to admit as much. So I thanked the person and hung up the phone. I didn't even write down the address.

I was walking through the streets of the city. In no time at all I had forgotten the address, and realized I was lost. I knew that I couldn't find my way back to the hotel even if I tried. So I kept going forward, looking for an address I didn't know.

Even though there was some anxiety in the dream, I didn't feel bad. I was relaxed, and for some inexplicable reason felt that I would eventually find the address and everything would be okay.

I just noticed that threads in this forum have way more views than threads anywhere else (aside from the Hoofah forum, which is understandable).

Who the hell is reading about our weird dreams?
